Best thing about Longwood?

I appreciate the university’s small size because it fosters close relationships and a strong sense of community. The opportunity to build meaningful connections with professors is something I truly value.

One professor who you couldn’t have done it without?

Dr. Susan Lynch, professor of therapeutic recreation. I couldn’t be more grateful for her guidance, kindness and support throughout this journey.

One unforgettable experience you had at Longwood?

I had the incredible opportunity to participate in two study abroad trips. I went to Ghana with the social work program and to Guatemala with the nursing program. Being immersed in two vibrant cultures, alongside supportive professors and peers, was unforgettable. These journeys inspired me to look beyond the classroom and to encourage other Lancers to take advantage of the incredible study abroad opportunities that Longwood offers.

Longwood in three words?

Insightful. Adventurous. Impactful.

I am ready for career success because…

Longwood prepared me by offering incredible opportunities, providing a safe and supportive environment to be curious and learn, and instilling the values of what it means to be a citizen leader. I feel confident in my ability to apply the skills I’ve developed and to continue striving toward my goals because of the unique experiences I had here.
